TriVersity women spend day with girls at YWCA Rosie’s Camp

Last year TriVersity became involved with the YWCA program, Rosie’s Girls, by sponsoring and volunteering for an afternoon at Rosie’s Girls Camp at Holmes High School in Covington. Our volunteers were so enthusiastic that this year we decided to have TriVersity Day at Rosie’s Girls Camp. We spent the morning assisting with welding and art labs, served lunch, and helped with carpentry and construction research in the afternoon.

Each summer the Greater Cincinnati YWCA and National Association of Women in Construction (NAWIC) brings its Rosie’s Girls Camp to Holmes High School. The program introduces girls aged 11-13 to STEM-related careers and builds self-esteem, physical confidence, interpersonal cooperation and leadership through learning and applying basic skills in carpentry and other technical trades.
