TriVersity Celebrates the Arts at Special Playhouse in the Park Event

CINCINNATI (May 19, 2016)–Commercial builder TriVersity Construction recently celebrated Cincinnati arts with an event at Playhouse in the Park. More than fifty employees, customers and partners gathered for a pre-play reception at the Playhouse, followed by a showing of Satchel Paige and the Kansas City Swing.

“We were excited to help bring this play to life in Cincinnati, as it celebrates a baseball legend who helped to break down barriers, something that we work to do every day at TriVersity Construction,” said Mel Gravely, President and CEO.

TriVersity is not new to showing support for the arts. They are the design sponsor for this play and are active with ArtsWave an independent arts organization missioned to raise funds to support over 100 arts groups around the community. TriVersity has exceeded its contribution goal to Artswave for the past three years, with nearly 100% of employees participating.

“We support the arts because we are convinced the arts are a big part of what make Cincinnati a great place to live,” Gravely continued. “They are important for employee recruitment and retention, and the overall vibrancy of our community.”

The theme of the Satchel Paige play is also consistent with TriVersity’s focus on the power of diversity. Satchel Paige and the Kansas City Swing is an exciting and inspirational new play. The play is set in the 1947 Negro Leagues. A story of passion and perseverance, this drama paints a vivid picture of America on the brink of great change — on and off the baseball diamond. The play is showing in the Playhouse’s Marx Theatre through May 21.

TriVersity is among the top ten largest commercial builders in the Ohio-Kentucky-Indiana tri-state region offering construction management, general contracting and design build services. The company portfolio spans the industry and is fueled by a diverse and empowered team of professionals who strive to create vibrant communities.
