TriVersity Construction Employees Teach Girls Confidence & Skills through YWCA Rosie’s Girls® Program
Yesterday, the women of TriVersity Construction had the privilege of participating in a volunteer project with Rosie’s Girls®, a summer program for girls aged 11-13 held at Holmes High School in Covington. Rosie’s Girls® is a YWCA program that introduces girls to STEM-related careers in the world of construction while building self-esteem, physical confidence, interpersonal cooperation and leadership skills.
The TriVersity group assisted two groups of girls with a picture frame tiling project. Throughout the three week program, the girls also learn basic carpentry skills, architecture, information technology, electrical wiring, welding, plumbing, surveying, and more in a fun, hands-on environment. With TriVersity’s commitment to community involvement, the opportunity was enthusiastically supported.
